The aim of the Language Centres is to provide an intensive Welsh course to newcomers to the County to enable them to blend into the bilingual society and fully participate in bilingual education experiences.
This provision is central to supporting primary and secondary schools to implement the current Language Policy.
(Welsh in Education Strategic Plan 2013-2014)

The Course
Structured course
The course has been carefully planned to ensure success. The lessons have a clear structure that develops week after week to offer standard language to pupils.
Lively and fun course
A lot of emphasis is placed on enjoyment, as this will ensure that pupils gain the confidence needed to use the language effectively.
Multimedia and cross-curricular course
Through the medium of drama and singing, mathematics and science, physical education and art and humanities, the children are immersed in the Welsh language. This enables the pupils to return to their schools to follow the curriculum in Welsh.
In order to ensure appropriate follow-up in schools, teachers at the Centres will offer an after care service to the pupils after returning to their schools.
